The Efekta™ System ‘turbo-charges’ immersion learning. Students learn more in class because more time is spent speaking and less time is spent memorizing. More is learned in the language lab, because iLAB technology allows students to pinpoint and focus on their personal interests and specific weaknesses. Our study abroad programs allow students to immerse themselves in the language and culture while socializing with native speakers. And they can enhance their learning even more outside the classroom with Efekta's mobile learning media.
We know the difference a great teacher makes in language learning. All EF teachers hold specialist teaching qualifications and have an average of seven years of teaching experience. All are trained in the Efekta™ System. But what makes EF teachers truly exceptional is that they are selected for their enthusiasm, creativity and dedication to students’ success. In most other language schools, traditional language laboratory learning means studying by oneself with books and audio tapes. Not at EF. We’ve invested in thousands of computers to equip our schools with state-of-the-art innovative language labs (iLABS) that offer students interactive tutorials. These online tutorials match their face-to-face classroom topics and help them work on their specific needs.
In addition, students can download “EF podEnglish™” video files to their iPod. These podcasts allow students to continue their learning between classes, on their commute, or relaxing in town. Sample podcasts are available at www.ef.com/podenglish
At EF students can choose the accommodation that suits them best, whether it is living with a native-speaking family in our Homestay program or staying in the EF Residences with other students from all over the world. Regardless of which lifestyle suits you best, you'll be living around native speakers and immersing yourself in local customs and culture-and putting your language skills to use!
