American High School Grades 9-10
Requirements
Our requirements are developed to ensure that all students can successfully take part in the programme. If you have questions about your individual situation, contact one of our educational consultants. They will be happy to advise you.
English Language Requirement
Minimum score of IELTS 4.5/TOEFL 103 CBT/34 IBT/SLEP 43 or equivalent on the free EF International Academy test.
Education Requirement
Students aged 14 to16 who have completed grade 8 or 9 are welcome to apply to the American High School Programme Grades 9-10. To maintain their academic level, students should have grade C or above in all their major classes.
EF International Academy in New York, Oxford and Torbay are IB World Schools, offering the IB Diploma Programme.
EF International Academy in Vancouver and Brisbane are schools interested in pursuing authorization as an IB World School* delivering the Diploma Programme. These are schools that share a common philosophy - a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that these schools believe is important for our students.
*Only schools authorized by the IB organization can offer any of its three academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), or the Diploma Programme. Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
